The Family Portrait Experience

1. Initial Consultation – We discuss your vision, preferred location, and what you want to capture.

2. Session Scheduled – We confirm your appointment and discuss clothing suggestions and timing.

3. Appointment Confirmed – You’ll receive a reminder 1-2 days before your session.

4. Fun Photo Session – Relaxed, stress-free experience (typically 30-60 minutes).

5. Ordering Appointment – View your edited photos and select your favorites for prints and products.

6. Product Delivery – Your order is prepared, quality-checked, and ready for pickup within 1-2 weeks. We will definitely notify you!

What’s included in a family portrait session?

We chat before your session to find out what you are looking for from your session. A photography session (studio or outdoor) plus an in-person ordering appointment to select favorites and products.

How far in advance should I book a family portrait session?

Most families book 1 week to 1 month in advance. Holiday sessions (November-December) book up quickly, so plan 1-2 months ahead.

What if someone is sick on the day of our session?

We appreciate advance notice and can reschedule portrait sessions. Your deposit is credited toward your rescheduled session.

What happens if the weather is bad for an outdoor session?

If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we can reschedule for another day or move the session to an indoor location. We’ll stay in touch and make the best decision together.

What if my kids don’t cooperate?

That’s normal. Sessions are relaxed and guided to help kids feel comfortable.

What should I wear for my photoshoot?

Wear outfits that make you feel confident and comfortable. Solid colors, minimal patterns, and coordinating (but not matching) outfits work best for group photos. We’re happy to provide styling tips!

Do you offer prints or just digital images?

We offer both!

You can choose professional prints, albums, wall art and/or products to showcase your memories beautifully. We include social media sized digital files of the images in your order. We do offer an upgrade to high resolution images from your portrait sessions.

How long does a photoshoot take?

Session lengths vary depending on the type of shoot, how many people, variety of poses. 30-60 minutes is about average. We will discuss all this prior to your appointment!

How do I book a session?

Booking is easy! Simply contact us through our website, email, or phone to discuss availability and details. A deposit may be required to secure your date.

When will I receive my photos?

Editing takes time to ensure the best quality. We schedule a viewing/ordering appointment within 2 weeks of your session. We will let you know after your session.
